Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jessica

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to consistency and resilience. I have learned to remain committed to my goals, even when faced with challenges or setbacks, and to view difficult moments as opportunities for growth. Life inevitably has its ups and downs, but I believe that navigating the lows with perseverance and a positive mindset ultimately creates the foundation for achieving greater accomplishments and experiencing the most rewarding moments.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that it’s okay to fail, as long as I have the resilience to get back up. Failure is not a reflection of my abilities or potential; it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and become stronger. I believe that perseverance and the willingness to keep moving forward are essential to achieving long-term success.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to actively seek mentorship from experienced professionals who can offer valuable guidance, perspective, and wisdom. When you are in the room, listen more than you speak, observe how successful leaders approach challenges, and learn from their experiences. Surrounding yourself with knowledgeable professionals can accelerate your growth, help you make informed decisions, and allow you to learn from their successes and mistakes.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and opportunity in my field right now is navigating the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Staying current requires a commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new systems and tools. I believe that dedicating even 30 minutes a day to professional development, whether through courses, training, or industry education, can make a significant difference in staying informed, competitive, and on the cutting edge of technology.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are honesty, integrity, and transparency. My relationship with Christ is the foundation of my life and guides the way I approach my decisions, relationships, and responsibilities. I also place great importance on pursuing my professional goals while being present and intentional in my relationship with my daughter.
