Jessica Yellen

I am a nonprofit executive and mental health professional with a strong background in organizational leadership, school psychology, and community service, currently serving as Executive Director and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast, a role I have held since June 2024, where I lead the organization's mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Prior to this role, I served as Interim Executive Director for two months, where I provided transitional leadership for the organization.

Before joining Big Brothers Big Sisters, I served as Chief Administrative Officer at Family Service Center of Galveston County for ten months, where I led administrative and operational functions to support the organization's mental health and social services programs. Earlier in my career, I served as School Psychologist and Assessment Specialist at Clear Creek Independent School District for over four years, where I provided psychological assessment and support services to students.

I hold a Specialist degree in School Psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University.

Across my career in nonprofit leadership, school psychology, and organizational development, my work has been driven by a commitment to empowering individuals, strengthening families, and building healthier communities through education, mentorship, and mental health support. Whether I am leading a mentoring organization, managing administrative operations, or providing psychological services to students, I bring a compassionate, strategic, and collaborative approach that creates lasting impact. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue advancing the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters Gulf Coast and serving the youth and families of the Gulf Coast region.
