About Jessie
Jessie Korich is a registered diagnostic medical sonographer with 19 years of experience in ultrasound imaging. She began her career after studying biology at UCF and completing a two-year ultrasound program at Sanford Brown, followed by an externship that led to nearly 15 years at Sarasota Memorial Health Care System in Florida, where she trained staff and performed a wide range of procedures. After shifting focus to male urology, she spent seven years at United Medical Systems as a fusion specialist in the southeast region before joining BioProtect, where she advanced to senior clinical specialist and field trainer. In her current role following the company's acquisition by Olympus, she educates urologists and radiation oncologists on ultrasound-guided rectal spacing technology and runs training programs across the southeast region. Her work emphasizes patient care, integrity, and authentic teaching methods developed from her early experiences in a learning hospital environment.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be yourself. Don't mold yourself into what you think other people want or what people expect of you. Do what you know is right, and do what feels right for you. Especially as a woman in male-dominated fields, walk into a room authentically yourself.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Patient care is always number one. I care about the person. Integrity is key - I don't want a number attached to my name so physicians know I have no monetary interest. I need to feel I did something good and made a difference. Helping people is in my nature. Strong family support system at home.
