Ten minutes with Jessika
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the confidence I’ve built through continuous learning, preparation, and a commitment to growth.
Throughout my career, I’ve made it a priority to truly understand the challenges in front of me. Whenever I encounter something new, I take the initiative to learn—researching, asking questions, and building a deeper understanding before taking action. Over time, that habit has not only strengthened my knowledge, but also the confidence to navigate complex situations with clarity.
I’ve learned that confidence doesn’t come from having all the answers—it comes from being willing to seek them, to stay curious, and to keep growing.
That mindset has allowed me to step into new opportunities, take on challenges with intention, and continue evolving both professionally and personally.
For me, success is not just about experience—it’s about the willingness to keep learning, adapting, and showing up with purpose every step of the way.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to never limit what you believe is possible for yourself.
If you have a goal or a passion, pursue it with intention and commitment. What you envision for your life is not out of reach—you build it step by step through effort, learning, and persistence.
Engineering and manufacturing are constantly evolving, and there will always be new challenges to navigate. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, embrace those challenges as opportunities to grow. Stay curious, keep learning, and invest in developing your knowledge—because that is what will build your confidence over time.
Equally important is collaboration. Success in this field is not achieved alone. Be open to learning from others, share your knowledge, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. What may seem like a small question can often lead to deeper understanding and stronger solutions.
Build trust with your team, stay confident in your abilities, and remain committed to your growth.
Over time, that combination of persistence, learning, and teamwork will carry you further than you ever imagined.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology and the increasing complexity of global supply chains.
Advancements in digital tools, automation, and AI are transforming how we approach quality, supplier performance, and decision-making. As a result, there is a growing need for professionals to continuously adapt, stay informed, and integrate new technologies into existing processes without compromising reliability or standards.
At the same time, this presents a significant opportunity. Those who are willing to invest in their development and embrace change can elevate how quality and supplier development are managed—making processes more efficient, data-driven, and proactive.
I believe the future of this field will belong to professionals who combine strong technical foundations with adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both in my work and personal life, are integrity, continuous growth, and accountability.
Integrity is at the core of everything I do. I believe in being honest, consistent, and committed to doing the right thing—even when it’s not the easiest path. It builds trust, and trust is essential in both professional relationships and personal connections.
Continuous growth is another value that drives me. I’m always looking for ways to learn, improve, and expand my perspective. Whether it’s developing new skills or gaining a deeper understanding of a process, I believe growth is a lifelong responsibility.
Accountability is equally important. I take ownership of my work, my decisions, and my results. Holding myself accountable allows me to lead with confidence and contribute meaningfully to the teams and environments I’m part of.
These values guide how I approach challenges, how I collaborate with others, and how I continue to evolve both professionally and personally.
