Ten minutes with Jil
01What do you attribute your success to?
My relationship with God has been foundational. Key mentors and sponsors changed my life by teaching me executive presence and how to show up professionally. I was coachable and always had a plan for my development, including a personal board of directors.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You have to develop yourself at your own cost. Do not wait for anyone to save you. Create your own personal action plan that includes an executive coach and a personal board of directors of five key leaders. Write down your goals and study leaders you admire.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include slow technology adoption especially AI in HR, developing new talent with different work ethics and skills, declining passenger traffic and consumer spending due to inflation in aviation.
