About Jill

Jill Anderson is an educator and clinical researcher specializing in higher education and clinical research. She began teaching English in 2000s as a high school English and Latin teacher at several schools. After her son became ill with cancer and spent six months in the hospital, Jill transitioned into clinical research while continuing to teach English, including Composition, Creative Writing, and British Literature sections. She works in the emergency department at UMass, the same department where her son was treated. Jill's educational path started at Quinsigamond Community College, followed by a full scholarship to Smith College through the Ada Comstock Scholar Program. She earned her Master's in Teaching from Simmons College, a certification in Narrative Medicine from Columbia University, and an MPH from Bay Path University. Her experiences have shaped her commitment to integrity, honesty, accountability, humility, and continuous learning.
