What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of passion for problem-solving, creativity, and sustainable design, honed over more than thirty years in architecture. Technical precision, strong collaboration with dedicated teams, and a commitment to environmentally responsible practices have consistently guided my work and shaped my career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering architecture is to pursue what you love with passion and curiosity, knowing that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. Stay curious, lead with integrity, value collaboration, and balance ambition with compassion — these principles will guide both your career and personal fulfillment.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in architecture today is breaking into a male-dominated field, where earning respect and asserting your voice requires persistence and confidence. At the same time, this presents an opportunity to shape inclusive, innovative teams and lead projects that make a meaningful impact on people and the environment.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are integrity, innovation, sustainability, collaboration, and community impact — guiding every project, client interaction, and personal endeavor to create meaningful, lasting, and ethical outcomes.
