About Jill
Jill R. McCulloch owns and operates McCulloch Mediation in Indianapolis, Indiana - a firm she founded in January 2021 after more than three decades of working in litigation.
McCulloch Mediation mediates a wide-variety of cases including: Business and Contractual disputes,
Family Law matters - including Divorce, as well as Personal Injury & Medical Malpractice Cases, and Church and Community disputes.
Jill is a Supreme Court Approved Mediator and a Notary Public for the State of Indiana.
She also uses her background in law, psychology, and business to assist clients in designing their own resolutions during Mediation - eliminating the need to ever step into a Courtroom.
Jill is a member of the American Bar Association. She also embraces her own firm's motto: "Don't Litigate. Don't Debate. Let's Mediate.™" She is also an Advisory Member of the Harvard Business Review Council.
McCulloch Mediation supports Wheeler Mission and The Wexler's Mission Project in Kenya.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My faith has helped me "stay the course" in life and working in the law.
While I also had several great mentors along the way, I especially value a 10-year working relationship with one attorney in particular who encouraged me to keep learning and trying new things -without the fear of making mistakes.
As a young legal professional, this felt like unadulterated freedom! Thank you, Rick.

Always go after what you want! Never give in, give up, or quit because ...

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To younger women entering the legal arena, I would encourage you to be true to yourself.
Speak up - boldly and bravely - for yourself and others. Borrow my mantra: Stay the Course!
Don't ever count yourself out. Things will inevitably be hard, at first. Just keep moving forward because ...

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The greatest opportunity in the field of Dispute Resolution, particularly Mediation, lies in the Mediator's ability to help the parties come to agreements and design their own future - instead of leaving important decisions for a judge or a jury to decide.
