Her Story
About Jillian
I've been in the marketing field for about 15 years. I got into it because I was always interested in consumer behavior, what makes people consume things, and how brands attract people and stay relevant through trends. Right now I'm in a career pivot after taking time off to be with my kids. I'm developing my own brand as a content creator with a style account and I launched my own swimwear line called Baytwo Swimwear in 2021 which is direct to consumer.

Ten minutes with Jillian
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
You have to be your biggest supporter and your biggest fan because no one else will. You have to take advice with a grain of salt and at the end of the day it's up to you.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI has flaws in creativity and writing so there will be demand for creative work and opportunity for people's own creativity to make a difference.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I prioritize effective use of time and being present when doing work. It's not enough to just be there for appearances, the work has to be effective. This became clearer after the pandemic.
