Her Story

About Jillian

I've been in education for 21 years across multiple roles including varsity coach, teacher, campus minister, department head, vice principal, and principal, all within Catholic education in New Jersey and New York. I worked my way up while staying true to who I am, earning the nickname Holy Kelly for my integrity. Currently teaching religion to seniors at Moore Catholic, I focus on ethics and helping students succeed. I take pride in creating a volleyball program for women and supporting new teachers, including former students.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be kind to yourself and patient when overcoming hurdles. Document everything with time and date. Set boundaries immediately and declare you are the professional. Have a trusted mentor. For administrators, feed the teachers so they do not eat the students by showing appreciation and maintaining an open-door policy.
