About Jillian
Jillian Kent brings more than two decades of expertise in event production and business consulting. She launched her entrepreneurial journey after working in hospitality staffing, where she identified a market need for targeted event support for office managers and executive assistants. Founding Reflections by Jillian, she built a portfolio of repeat clients such as ZocDoc, Miss Universe, Oracle, Lush Cosmetics, and Bombas, including a notable collaboration merging Bombas with the Muhammad Ali organization for a Thanksgiving event. After relocating to West Palm Beach, Florida, Kent rebranded her business to emphasize consulting on systems and strategy for female founders, business owners, and nonprofits, drawing on her background in timeline management, production, and project oversight. She remains active in event production while pursuing her passion for intentional, purpose-driven work. Kent is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and participates in philanthropic efforts including the RAINN Speakers Bureau for advocates, Christ Fellowship Mission, and Feeding the Homeless Missions in downtown West Palm Beach. She contributed to legislative changes on Capitol Hill through her involvement with RAINN, the nation's largest sexual assault hotline. As a biracial woman, she values her certification as a minority woman-owned business and the vibrant community of minority women entrepreneurs she has encountered in Florida.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Seek mentors who have done what you want to do. Invest in yourself through mentorship and education. Build tenacity, patience, and resilience. Entrepreneurship is gritty and not glamorous; clients become your new bosses. Build internal self-esteem rather than basing it on external validation.
