About Jimica
Jimica Freeman is the founder of Project Lifeline, a resilience and relationship consulting firm based in Louisville, Kentucky, which she launched in 2020. Through her firm, she provides contract consulting services to nonprofits, academic institutions, and corporate organizations, with a focus on strengthening the people behind their missions. Her work emphasizes resilience, relationships, communication, emotional well-being, social-emotional learning, and organizational culture to help emerging leaders and their teams thrive rather than merely survive in their roles. With more than 18 to 20 years of experience that began in social services with the state of Kentucky, Freeman draws on her background to bridge gaps in support and resources for individuals and staff. She holds a master's degree in psychology and is currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership. She has been a certified life coach for 14 years and maintains certification in trauma-informed care. In addition to her consulting practice, Freeman volunteers with organizations including the Bates Development Corporation, the Center for Women and Children for domestic violence support, and the Boys and Girls Club of Kentuckian. She also mentors aspiring coaches, women's groups, and young girls pursuing leadership roles.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take your time. Earn your craft, learn your craft, and don't be disappointed on the no's. Educate yourself on what you want to do, own your niche. Be able to create your lane and own your lane, and don't be afraid of rejection. Rejection is literally what they say, redirection, and sometimes that no will lead you to a bigger yes.
