What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion for empowering women-owned businesses. While I also provide services for men, I find great fulfillment in helping women thrive and achieve sustained success. My journey began with 18 years of experience in the finance industry, where I honed my skills and developed a deep understanding of the field. It wasn’t until I met my business partner that we brought our shared vision to life, founding Element Finance Group and building it into the successful company it is today.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that I have the ability to make a difference and be what the world needs. This has especially resonated with me after navigating the challenges of keeping our business alive during and after COVID, proving that resilience and purpose can truly drive impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to pursue a career that is both meaningful and successful. Focus on what drives you, align your work with your passions, and know that with dedication and purpose, you can make a significant impact while achieving your goals.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges—and opportunities—in my field right now is balancing the many roles I embrace while remaining fully present for my clients. As a triathlon athlete, runner, and now a certified race car driver for fun, I’ve learned the importance of discipline, focus, and time management. These same qualities allow me to show up for everyone who relies on me professionally, which was recently recognized when I received the Woman Who Care Award in New York City.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, family, and purpose. Success isn’t just about achievements in the workforce—it’s also about cherishing time with loved ones. As a grandmother, I make it a priority to pause and embrace the moments that remind me why all the hard work and dedication are worthwhile. I’m also deeply committed to giving back through my involvement with the Epilepsy Foundation of New York, inspired by my beloved brother, who lived a remarkable life despite severe epilepsy. Outside of work and advocacy, I find joy in the simple pleasures that have always brought me happiness, from Broadway shows to Boston Red Sox games.
