About Joanna
Joanna Alvarado serves as Director of Commercial Operations at Quantify Specialty Care, a role she began two months ago. In this position, she works across commercial and operational initiatives, including customer and patient workflows, process improvement, operational efficiencies, and scaling the business as patient cases grow. She reports to the Chief Operations Officer and specializes in operational scaling and improvement. With almost 20 years in the field, primarily in sales and revenue operations, Alvarado has progressed from sales and SDR leadership and managing business development teams to broader operational responsibilities. Her work has involved hiring, coaching, pipeline generation, and building structured, scalable approaches for organizations ranging from early startup phases to more established entities. She holds a bachelor's degree in sports medicine from Texas Tech University and a master's degree in healthcare administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She also maintains a PMP certification in project management.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Always work like you're being chased. Never settle and always assume that there's someone that's always looking to one-up you.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never stop learning, never stop growing. Keep an open mind to try to stay in the game, try to stay ahead of the game, especially with new technology and AI in the healthcare tech space.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Staying humble and not forgetting where you come from. Knowing how to do things on your own at an early age, not taking things for granted, working hard for what you want, and reaching high for the sky. Staying grounded.
