Her Interview

Ten minutes with Joanna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to an independent spirit and a strong work ethic learned from my parents. I wanted to work for myself my whole life and corporate America wasn't for me. My parents taught me to do a good job, be proud of what you do, and that you can do anything you set your mind to.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is that life is short and you should enjoy what you do.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be open to change because this field changes regularly. Keep up with the times, believe in yourself, have a good attitude and work hard.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and opportunity right now is AI - how to navigate it responsibly as marketers without abusing it or becoming redundant, while educating clients on proper use and leveraging it to become more efficient.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Being a good person, kind and respectful to people, respectful of their values and time, aware of how your work affects others. At Green Cup we value staying creative and curious, not taking yourself too seriously, and keeping laughing because we're just doing digital marketing, not saving lives.
