JoAnna Rockefeller

JoAnna Rockefeller is a technology entrepreneur and software developer focused on building next-generation autonomous systems, human-guided AI frameworks, and advanced operational automation platforms. As the CEO and Co-Founder of Automedon Technologies, she leads the development of an innovative agent-control framework designed to orchestrate autonomous computing agents with real-time human oversight. Her work centers on creating systems that combine the speed and scalability of autonomous AI with the transparency, control, and safety required for high-stakes operational environments.

Under her leadership, Automedon Technologies is developing advanced capabilities including live explainability engines, interruptible autonomous workflows, safety and watchdog systems, multi-agent coordination, and mission-based execution frameworks. The company’s core innovation focuses on “explain-while-running” autonomy, enabling operators to monitor, query, adjust, and override AI-driven processes in real time while maintaining complete auditability and operational provenance.

Her vision bridges the gap between fully manual operations and unrestricted autonomy, supporting applications in cyber operations, enterprise automation, autonomous development workflows, and simulation environments. Prior to co-founding Automedon Technologies, she worked as a Software Developer for Cornerstone, where she contributed to software development initiatives and collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.

Her transition from contract development into entrepreneurship reflects a strong drive toward innovation, applied AI systems, and operational technology leadership. Recognized for her forward-thinking approach to autonomy and systems engineering, she combines technical expertise with strategic vision to develop secure, explainable, and operator-centered AI infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent computing systems.
