Her Story

About JoAnne

My journey into holistic health and wellness was inspired by my own health journey as a cancer survivor. While I survived the cancer and the tumor was gone, the chemo took care of everything health-wise but diminished my health in other ways - I couldn't sleep, I was walking with a cane, I was in a wheelchair. In the beginning, I was a young senior, and it just diminished my whole health where I wasn't in the gym anymore. For four years after cancer, I was in constant pain, in a wheelchair, on a walker, on a cane. There was a time that I fell and broke both arms - it was not a good four years. But for the past four years with holistic products, it's been excellent. Now I am in the gym five days a week at 5:30 in the morning, I'm climbing mountains, I'm riding my bicycle, doing all things that I was doing before. I work with Partner Co, and what I do professionally is talk to people all day long. I do a lot of posting on social media, and I get people to call me. I just find out what their needs are and help them. I make sure that I'm being seen, I go to women's expos to make sure my name is out there. A lot of the people that call me are cancer survivors, and I help them understand that while I'll never tell them not to do what their doctor tells them to do, I've got products that can help with the immune system as you're going through chemo, because you want to keep your immune system up. I have a bachelor's degree from Columbia Southern University in occupational health and safety, and I'm currently working with someone to write a book about my journey.

Ten minutes with JoAnne

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received is just keep doing it, just keep doing what you're doing. Don't let other people discourage you. You know your journey. You know the journey that God has you on. So just keep going on your journey.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just keep going. What I do to get my name out there is I make sure that I'm being seen, I go to women's expos, and the whole bit, just to make sure that my name and everything is out there, and I just keep going. Because the most important thing is your health. And if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Money won't do you any good.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There are so many products out there. If you look at Motrin, there's so many different Motrins. You have to make sure the products are pure. We've got 12 different medical certifications. We're in the Physician's Desk Reference. We have the Cologne certification. Our products are made in FDA facilities. Of course, they will not certify supplements, but we have the cleanest supplements around.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Ethics and honesty are most important to me. Making sure that everything that I say, I can back up. Just ethics and honesty. And have a little fun as you're doing it as you go.
