Jocelle Elvambuena
Jocelle Elvambuena is a Project Implementation Manager at Wesco, specializing in operational execution, logistics, and supply chain transformation. Her career is rooted in third-party logistics and distribution, where she has built deep expertise in inventory management, reverse logistics, process optimization, and large-scale systems implementation. She is known for her ability to translate complex operational challenges into structured, scalable solutions that improve efficiency and drive measurable results.
She began her career in logistics as a college intern with DHL Supply Chain while studying Business Administration at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. What started as an internship evolved into a long-term career after her leadership recognized her performance during a capstone project. She progressed through roles in operations supervision, inventory control, and management, supporting multiple site launches, expansions, and process improvement initiatives across fast-paced distribution environments. Over time, she developed a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making, team development, and continuous improvement.
As her career advanced, Jocelle took on increasingly complex leadership roles at DB Schenker (now DSV), where she managed high-value inventory operations and supported major facility expansions, including large-scale transitions and new site implementations. She later helped launch and stabilize a 1.2M square-foot facility supporting global operations before transitioning into her current role at Wesco. Throughout her journey, she has been recognized for her problem-solving mindset, cross-functional collaboration, and commitment to building efficient systems while developing strong, accountable teams.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my family’s sacrifices as Filipino immigrants and the values they instilled in me. As a first-generation Filipino American, I feel a strong responsibility to honor their journey by making the most of the opportunities they created, especially for my son and future generations. My great-grandmother, who helped raise me and taught me our native language, has been a major influence in shaping my drive to succeed and give back through the life I build.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women entering my industry that uncertainty is inevitable, so it’s important to move forward with confidence, positivity, and full effort even when things feel unfamiliar. In my experience, moments of stress or doubt have always worked themselves out, and I’ve come out stronger each time—both personally and professionally. The challenges you face are not setbacks but opportunities for growth, and even when something doesn’t go as planned, I don’t see it as failure but as a catalyst for learning and improvement.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is navigating a predominantly male environment as a female minority, where there are often assumptions that require me to consistently go above and beyond to demonstrate capability and build influence. At the same time, there are significant opportunities, including exposure to different sites and systems, the ability to travel, and strong networking and continuous improvement work. The field also offers stability and growth, particularly within operations and logistics roles, which makes it both demanding and rewarding.
