Her Interview
Ten minutes with Jocelyn
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God. I come from a very difficult background dealing with anxiety and depression. My story alone was very painful, and it's a miracle that I am even alive. From that background to having enough space to get myself together and keep going, and to pray and listen to the guidance of God to do this work.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do what you love, and the money follows after. Another one is would you rather be right, or would you rather be happy? I think that one is probably the one I'm trying to work on right now.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Being yourself and being as honest as you can be, and compassionate. We don't know who is struggling out there. A lot of people live double lives and don't even admit they're going through something. When somebody shows up and is just kind to them, providing a supporting work environment makes people want to get up and keep coming.
