What do you attribute your success to?
If I had to pinpoint what has driven my success, it would be the value of experience. I often say I earned my education at the “School of Hard Knocks,” and there’s truth in that. Over the course of my career, I’ve navigated pandemics, economic downturns, market volatility, and rapid industry shifts. Each challenge has strengthened my ability to adapt, anticipate change, and persevere—lessons that continue to guide me in every endeavor.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to embrace grit and persistence—never give up, and always trust your instincts. My gut has never steered me wrong. It’s also critical to maintain a growth mindset and avoid remaining stagnant. I often draw inspiration from playing pickleball: just as you anticipate your opponent’s next move on the court, it’s equally important to anticipate what’s ahead in your career.
My family has always shared a saying that has stuck with me: “If you think you’re right and you think you’re wrong, either way, you are right.” I still quote it often, especially when faced with skepticism or negativity. I truly believe that mindset is everything—it’s what guided me to start my business, persevere through challenges, and ultimately see it grow in ways I never imagined, including being acquired. I feel incredibly fortunate for the journey and the lessons it has taught me.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Healthcare is constantly evolving, which makes staying ahead of the curve both a challenge and an opportunity. One of the biggest hurdles is balancing innovation with clear, accurate communication—especially as new technologies emerge. While AI and other advancements are transforming the field, adoption takes time, and it’s essential to explain complex innovations in ways that are understandable and actionable for both professionals and patients. Navigating this balance effectively is where I see the greatest opportunities for impact and growth in healthcare today.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
If my journey has taught me anything, it’s this: build with intention, lead with resilience, and never underestimate the power of showing up—consistently. Beyond my work, community and connection are deeply important to me. I’m actively involved with nonprofit organizations focused on healing, service, and support, and I’m particularly passionate about helping women grow both professionally and personally. I’ve always believed in the power of meaningful connections—whether it’s introducing two people, opening a door, or offering guidance, I strive to create opportunities that help others move forward.
