Her Story

About Jodi

Jodi Beith is the Director of Business Development with Express Employment Professionals, where she partners with employers across Central and Southern Illinois, including Danville, Paris, Marshall, Watseka, and parts of Indiana, to deliver customized workforce solutions. She works closely with business leaders to understand not only their hiring needs, but also their organizational challenges, culture, and long term goals, ensuring each placement supports both immediate productivity and sustainable growth.

Her career path has been anything but traditional, and that diverse experience has become a defining strength in her professional approach. She began her career in tax preparation before transitioning into the skilled trades, where she worked hands on as a sheet metal specialist building aerospace components. After recognizing the need for a more sustainable long term path, she made a strategic shift into the staffing industry, joining Express Employment Professionals through the administrative side of the business. There, she gained experience in payroll, workers compensation claims, and operational support, building a strong foundation in the full lifecycle of workforce management.

After two years in operations, Jodi transitioned into business development, where she discovered her true calling. Today, she is actively out in the field every day, conducting facility tours, meeting with decision makers, and developing tailored staffing and workforce strategies. She also contributes to local workforce development initiatives, including facilitating monthly professional development groups through the chamber that focus on topics such as generational communication and workplace effectiveness. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and has a passion for pinball, along with a strong commitment to connecting people to opportunity and helping businesses grow while strengthening the communities she serves.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Jodi

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying authentic, being willing to step forward even when it feels uncomfortable, and not being afraid to take a seat at the table. I’ve learned that growth comes from showing up consistently, building genuine relationships, and being open to learning from every experience along the way. I also credit my success to resilience and a strong work ethic, which have helped me navigate an unconventional career path and turn each transition into an opportunity for growth.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't be afraid to take your seat at the table. Be authentic, be willing to learn, and don't let imposter syndrome hold you back. When the market's down or things get tough, maybe we just need to figure out a different approach. Ask somebody who's done it longer than you, ask somebody that's spent the same amount of time as you, ask somebody that's done it less than you. That way you can see where you're going, you know where you're at, and you see where you came from. Because the growth path matters, and I think sometimes it's hard to remember that.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't underestimate the power of real relationships. Knowledge will go far, but a genuine relationship can open a door and create opportunities, and that's the best. Be willing to be adaptable, be authentic, but know that you're gonna come in contact with a lot of different personalities and you can handle it all. My husband and I raised seven kids, and they're all growing up to be great people, but that wasn't without work, that wasn't without blood, sweat, and tears, that was sacrifice. Make sure that you're always setting an example, lead by example. I'm so big on that because people are watching.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are authenticity, service, and impact. I believe in showing up as a real person, doing meaningful work, and focusing on how I can help others succeed. I value integrity, humility, and compassion, and I’m not afraid to ask for help or be vulnerable because I believe real strength comes from honesty and connection. At the core of everything I do is the belief that it takes a village, and I strive to create environments where people are supported, empowered, and set up for success.
