Tallahassee, FL 32312

Jodi Franklin is the Owner and Office Manager of Franklin’s HVAC LLC, a trusted local business proudly serving the Tallahassee Metropolitan Area since 2017. With over eight years of dedication to quality service, Jodi has built a reputation for honesty, integrity, and customer care. She is deeply motivated by helping families—especially when she hears a customer say, “I don’t know what I would’ve done without you.” Jodi ensures that every service is necessary and every job is done thoroughly, never recommending repairs or replacements that aren’t truly needed. Her leadership and commitment have been the driving forces behind the company’s success and longevity.

Beyond her business, Jodi is passionate about empowering others. Beginning in November 2025, she will start teaching HVAC classes for single mothers at the local community center. These workshops will focus on practical skills such as changing air filters and basic system maintenance, giving women the confidence to care for their homes and families. This initiative reflects Jodi’s belief in education, community, and independence—and her desire to make a meaningful difference beyond her day-to-day operations.

When she’s not managing Franklin’s HVAC, Jodi enjoys spending time outdoors—hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and relaxing by the river with friends and family. She and her husband also give back to their community by hosting and cooking for local events, continuing to strengthen the bonds that make Tallahassee feel like home. Through hard work, compassion, and a genuine dedication to service, Jodi Franklin embodies the values that keep her business and her community thriving.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

Jodi Franklin attributes her success to the unwavering love and support of her family, who have been her foundation through every challenge. Her husband Johnny, who runs the field side of their HVAC business, and her children, Johnny and Lilly, continually inspire her to persevere, stay grounded, and strive for excellence. She also credits her customers—many of whom are elderly—for motivating her to keep serving with compassion and integrity. With 70% of Franklin’s HVAC clientele being seniors, Jodi and Johnny have often been called “angels” and “life savers” by families who couldn’t afford the inflated prices offered by larger companies. That gratitude fuels her drive to do things the right way, to educate homeowners with detailed packets, and to ensure every job meets code and safety standards. For Jodi, success isn’t measured only in business growth, but in the trust she earns, the lives she touches, and the resilience she shows in pulling through the ups and downs.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay open‑minded and never stop learning. By embracing new ideas and continuously expanding my knowledge, I’ve been able to grow both personally and professionally. In the HVAC industry—and in life—there are always new challenges, codes, and technologies to adapt to. Staying curious and willing to learn has not only strengthened my business but also deepened the trust I’ve built with customers and my community.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women stepping into this field is to never let anyone convince you that you don’t belong. HVAC is demanding, but it’s also deeply rewarding—and women bring a unique strength, perspective, and attention to detail that customers truly value. Stay open‑minded, keep learning, and don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty—whether it’s crawling under houses, climbing into attics, or tackling tough diagnostics.

Always hold yourself to the highest standards of safety and code compliance, because integrity is what sets you apart. Remember, success isn’t just about technical skill—it’s about compassion, honesty, and the trust you build with your community. When customers call you an ‘angel’ or a ‘life saver,’ that’s proof you’re making a difference.

There will be ups and downs—what I call the ‘red‑headed stepchild problems’ of the trade—but resilience, faith, and determination will carry you through. And never forget: you’re paving the way for the next generation of women who will see you and know they can do it too.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge in my field right now is navigating the constant ups and downs of business. From shifting customer needs to unexpected setbacks, the HVAC industry demands flexibility and perseverance. Yet I see these challenges as opportunities—to adapt, grow, and find creative solutions that not only strengthen resilience but also build long‑term success. Each obstacle has taught me to think outside the box, lean on the support of my family and community, and stay true to my values of integrity and honesty. These lessons have shaped me into a stronger leader and reinforced my commitment to serving customers with care, especially the elderly families who depend on us most.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me, both in my work and personal life, are honesty and integrity. I believe in being genuine, transparent, and doing what’s right—even when no one is watching. These principles guide every decision I make, from how I serve customers to how I lead my family and business. They shape the way I interact with others, ensuring that trust is always at the center of my relationships. In an industry where shortcuts can be tempting, I’ve built my reputation on doing things the right way, educating homeowners, and standing by my word. Honesty and integrity aren’t just ideals—they are the foundation of my success and the legacy I want to leave behind.
