About Jodi
Jodi Marchewitz brings more than 15 years of experience to the field of AI talent solutions. She began her career in marketing at Eaton Corporation and Rockwell Automation before transitioning to sales at Ingram Micro. After starting a family and leaving full-time work, she founded A Fresh Approach to provide business development services for small companies. An idea for improving internet search led her to become CEO of a venture-backed SaaS company in Cleveland, Ohio, where she raised 1.5 million dollars in funding. Following the closure of that company, she entered talent acquisition by hiring for startups and later joined ZoomInfo as its first executive recruiter. Over four and a half years she built the function into an in-house team as VP of Executive Talent, delivering significant cost savings. She founded HireBoost.ai a little over a year and a half ago to create an AI platform that empowers recruiters to handle any role effectively. Jodi attributes her success to strong problem-solving skills developed from an early age and a commitment to perseverance and positive self-talk. She values helping others, honesty, and integrity in both her professional and personal life.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Honestly both of what you said. I grew up with divorced parents and my mom was more of a friend than a mom so I had to solve everything on my own. I'm an incredible problem solver. There's literally no problem I can't figure out how to solve. And perseverance and self-talk. You just have to be able to get yourself past the doubt and trust in the path.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Pivots are okay. Follow the path and follow the opportunities. It never hurts to ask for help. People are always surprised how many people are willing to help even for free. Don't be afraid to ask. Know how to leverage AI. It's going to be part of everybody's future. Know how to prompt it, how to work with it, how to get what you want out of it.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I love helping people. You have to be honest, have integrity. Always have integrity. Try and help as much as you can. When somebody helps me I always end the call with what can I do for you. Be willing to help anybody who's out there. Be nice and friendly and have integrity.
