Jody Frechette is an entrepreneur, travel professional, and holistic wellness advocate who is the owner of SoulVenture Travels and co-owner of The Holistic Healing Center | Harmonic Egg Madison. Combining her lifelong passion for travel with her commitment to holistic health, she creates meaningful travel experiences that immerse clients in diverse cultures, local cuisine, and wellness practices. Her travel offerings specialize in European river cruises with AmaWaterways, Caribbean all-inclusive vacations with Sandals Resorts, and Virgin Voyages, while incorporating opportunities for personal growth and holistic healing. Through her work, she is dedicated to helping individuals nourish both their sense of adventure and their overall well-being.
Frechette's diverse professional background spans business operations, financial management, bookkeeping, hospitality, and entrepreneurship. She earned a degree in mathematics and completed a college hospitality management program that included an internship in England and Amsterdam, experiences that further fueled her passion for international travel and cultural exchange. She also serves as President of Indigo Business Services, LLC, providing bookkeeping and business consulting services to small businesses, and has held leadership positions with organizations including Greenheart Exchange and Madison Geeks, Inc. Earlier in her career, she spent more than two decades directing business operations, managing large teams, vendor relationships, inventory, and multimillion-dollar contracts, building a strong foundation in organizational leadership and financial management.
Driven by curiosity, hard work, and a lifelong entrepreneurial spirit, Frechette attributes her success to growing up in a family business where she learned the value of perseverance and initiative from an early age. She believes the greatest success comes from pursuing work that aligns with one's passions, seeking support from trusted experts, and remaining committed to continuous growth. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to growing up in an entrepreneurial family where I learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and personal responsibility from an early age. My family instilled in me the belief that if I wanted to accomplish something, I needed to work diligently to achieve it. That entrepreneurial mindset has shaped every stage of my career and continues to motivate me to pursue new opportunities with determination and confidence.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to pursue work that you genuinely love because passion is the foundation of long-term success. Don't be afraid to ask for help and delegate responsibilities to professionals who can perform certain tasks more effectively, allowing you to focus on your strengths. When building a business, prioritize marketing from the very beginning—simply opening your doors does not guarantee people will find you. Success requires persistence, strategic promotion, and the willingness to continually learn and grow.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in my field is the growing interest in holistic health, wellness, and preventative approaches to living and travel. More people are seeking meaningful experiences that combine personal well-being with cultural exploration. At the same time, maintaining a strong online presence, effectively utilizing social media, and learning how to leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence while preserving authentic client relationships are ongoing challenges and opportunities for business growth.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I value holistic and preventative health, hard work, perseverance, and meaningful cultural connections. I believe in empowering women, supporting fellow entrepreneurs, and creating experiences that enrich people's lives through travel, wellness, and community. Building authentic relationships, giving back to others, and helping people discover new perspectives remain central to both my professional and personal life.
