01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the support that I have around me from my family, friends, and coworkers. I don't think I would have reached success without a great team.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't feel like you don't belong or feel intimidated. If you're in the room, it's because you belong there and deserve to be there. Just do your job well and show them why you belong.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't give up, don't be scared, take a risk because nobody has ever been successful without taking a risk. Focus on your goals and don't let anybody sidetrack you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Dealing with different personalities, especially as a young female teaching experienced male first responders. Adapting curriculum and ensuring learning while overcoming intimidation factors.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Respect and transparency. Don't promise something you can't fulfill or keep. Respect everybody no matter their position, from cleaning staff to president.
