About Joie
I am a social services professional and community advocate with a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion, and building stronger communities. I currently serve as Director of Social Services at Fountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center, a role I have held since February 2026, where I provide social services support to residents and families in a healthcare setting.
I also serve as Community Outreach Director at Pikes Peak Pride, a role I have held since January 2026, where I organize and network with the community and businesses for further collaboration in events supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Colorado Springs. I am also the Founder of Queers and Beers-Colorado Springs, a nonprofit group I established in May 2024 to expand friendships, networking, and inclusiveness within the community, hosting two standing events every month.
Prior to these roles, I served as a Medical Fiduciary at Springs Fiduciary Services for eight months, where I provided fiduciary services and supported adult social care, and as Social Service Director at Ensign Services for over a year, where I led social services in a healthcare setting.
Across my career in social services, community outreach, and nonprofit leadership, my work has been driven by a commitment to compassion, inclusion, and building connections that support individual and community well-being. Whether I am providing social services in a healthcare setting, organizing LGBTQ+ community events, or fostering friendships and networking through my nonprofit work, I bring a collaborative, relationship-centered approach and a dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others. I am proud of the work I have done throughout my career and excited to continue serving my community through my roles at Fountain View Health and Rehabilitation Center, Pikes Peak Pride, and Queers and Beers-Colorado Springs.
