About Jordyn

Jordyn Bledsoe serves as Senior Director of Tenant Experience at Playbook, supporting the Esplanade by overseeing the fitness center, conferencing meetings, catering, and all public and tenant experiences. She ensures amenities deliver a white-glove hospitality experience aimed at drawing people back to office spaces. Bledsoe has several years of experience in hospitality and restaurant management, beginning as a server and advancing through trainer, supervisor, and management roles. She previously worked as a pre-arrival coordinator at Castle Hot Springs Resort and most recently was general manager of Kala in Old Town Scottsdale, where she was the first female general manager for her company and one of just 11 percent women general managers in the area. Bledsoe attended Boise State University for one year and completed cosmetology school, which helped develop her soft skills in communication and reading client needs. She is involved in events with St. Mary's Food Bank through her work at the Esplanade. Bledsoe attributes her success to being obsessed with work and holding personal value through professional accomplishments. She emphasizes the importance of loyalty, accountability, and consistently showing up, and advises young women entering the industry to develop strong soft skills and the ability to communicate comfortably in any situation.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I literally eat, sleep, and dream work. I am obsessed with work. I think that is something, I hold a lot of my personal value through my accomplishments in my professional work, I don't have a lot of things going outside of that, like, that's what I put all of my energy into, is my work, so a lot of my value comes from that.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I think for me, it's just, like, Having a personality with those soft skills. I think soft skills is the biggest thing that anybody can have, when it comes to, like, being able to write an email, or being able to talk to somebody in, a setting that doesn't make you necessarily comfortable, is being able to to project you into... to your... or propel you into your career. I think that's what has gotten me a lot. a lot farther in my career is just being able to talk to anybody and feel comfortable in any situation, even if I don't have 100% of the information.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Challenges is, I would say for my current view. Is getting people to want to not work from home, and creating, like, spaces for people, To... really be excited to come to work. Opportunities is just to create, like, more white glove experiences for people, but also, being able to, create a community within the space, basically.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I think loyalty is a big thing for me, and also just, like, a really, What other qualities? I think that somebody who always shows up, no matter at what capacity, is something that's really important to me. ... people who are really, can hold themselves accountable.
