About Josephine
Josephine AmpawGreene is the owner of a private practice in mental health therapy and an adjunct professor at institutions in the Denver metro area. She began her career in education, teaching at a non-traditional school in Estes Park, Colorado, before pursuing advanced degrees. Josephine earned both a master's degree in social work and a master's degree in education from the University of Denver in three years, followed by a post-master's certificate in marriage and family therapy. Since 2018, she has focused on therapy, with her practice emphasizing relationships impacted by intersecting identities, including those of first-generation Americans, people of color, and queer individuals. In addition to seeing clients as individuals, couples, and families, she supervises and trains new therapists and works on business development aspects such as marketing and consulting. Josephine is a member of the National Association for Black Social Workers California chapter and joined Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated in 2021, where she participates in mentoring Black women and girls. She received the Community Organizer of the Year or Student of the Year Award while finishing graduate school and has been recognized for her work through nationally accredited podcasts.
