Her Interview

Ten minutes with Josephine

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being diligent and hardworking, as well as to the values my parents instilled in me from an early age. Their encouragement has had a lasting impact on how I approach my career and challenges. My father, in particular, has been an important role model for me, and I aspire to embody many of the qualities I admire in him.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is to not be afraid to stand out and be different. I believe that being authentic and having the confidence to bring a unique perspective can create opportunities and help me make a meaningful contribution.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the financial industry is to ask questions and speak up. Building confidence and making your voice heard are especially important in an industry where women may sometimes find themselves working in environments where they are underrepresented.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the challenges I have experienced in my field is navigating cultural differences and working within a traditionally male-dominated industry. These challenges also create opportunities to develop greater understanding, communicate across different perspectives, and contribute to a more inclusive professional environment.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me are kindness, resilience, and perseverance. I believe in being kind not only to others but also to myself, particularly during challenging moments. I also believe in not giving up easily because there is usually a way forward, even when the path is not immediately obvious.
