Her Story

About Josephine

Josephine Ennin is an educator and licensed financial professional whose career reflects a strong commitment to education, leadership, service, and community impact. Originally from Ghana, she relocated to the United States in 2023 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Towson University, with a focus on Business Law. Her academic background has cultivated a lasting interest in law, particularly real estate law, while her experiences in the classroom have inspired her to pursue a career in education.

Josephine began her teaching journey as a substitute teacher, where she discovered a passion for working with students and building meaningful relationships in the classroom. Her experience progressed from substitute teaching to long-term and classroom teaching, and she is now pursuing a master’s degree in Education at Towson University. Alongside her work in education, Josephine is a licensed financial professional with World Financial Group, where she applies her knowledge of financial planning and community outreach to help others build greater financial awareness. She has also gained experience in real estate and maintains additional skills and certifications in areas including culinary arts and hair braiding.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Josephine is passionate about leadership, service, and lifelong learning. As a Gold Fellow in the Central Leadership Program’s Cohort 8, she has participated in leadership development focused on critical thinking, responsibility, resilience, and meaningful contributions to society. She also volunteers through church youth camps across the United States and Canada and values opportunities to encourage and equip others through education and service. Looking ahead, Josephine hopes to continue developing as an educator while keeping open the possibility of pursuing law school and contributing to communities through purpose-driven leadership.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women not to feel confined to one path or what they think they are supposed to do. Explore, build meaningful connections, pray, stay open-minded, and take life one day at a time. Most importantly, make time to rest, breathe, and truly know yourself.
