Josephine Liang

I graduated from school in 2016 and started my career as a payroll specialist at a small company. Before that, during my college time, I owned my own small business and managed everything, which gave me self-motivated traits and problem-solving skills. It taught me a lot and forced me to grow rapidly, though I eventually decided managing my own small business wasn't something I enjoyed that much. My second job brought me into healthcare, where I started in payroll and got promoted to accounting manager, then director. I worked my way up to senior director at Franciscan Children's Hospital, where I worked for 4 years. When Boston Children's Hospital acquired Franciscan Children's, I was very fortunate to get promoted to Senior Director of Financial Operations for Boston Children's, which is the same role but at a much bigger scale. I went back to school in 2022 to pursue my MBA degree and graduated in August 2024. I'm currently working on my CPA, and while many CPAs work under me, I realized that my nearly a decade of healthcare experience is something they don't have, and it's great that we can work together to bring the department to the next level. I came to this state only 13 years ago to raise a family here, and I feel proud of what I have achieved so far, but I'm not going to stop here - I'll continue to grow.
