Josey Hammer

Josey Hammer is the Director of Operations at JenRus Marketing, where she brings more than eight years of leadership experience to a growing, community-focused marketing agency. In her role, she oversees operations, guides creative strategy, and supports a diverse range of client services, including branding, graphic design, photography, videography, and web development. Her ability to blend operational structure with creative vision has helped strengthen the agency’s impact across North Central Kansas. Before stepping into marketing leadership, Josey built a successful career as a photographer and entrepreneur. For more than seventeen years, she has operated Photos by Josey, a premier regional photography business specializing in weddings, engagements, commercial projects, and family portraits. Growing up in a town of just 100 people, she discovered her love for visual storytelling through community events and her involvement in 4-H. She later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism from Kansas State University, laying the foundation for both her creative and professional journey. Outside her professional roles, Josey is deeply committed to strengthening the rural communities she loves. She serves on her local school board, contributes actively to the district’s nonprofit foundation, and supports regional arts initiatives by helping organize events and fundraisers. Her photography was also featured in the book Nothing But the Dirt by Kate Benz, where she captured the stories and faces of her community. A proud mother of two boys, Josey enjoys caring for her farm animals, spending time outdoors, creating art, and championing small businesses throughout the region.
