Her Interview
Ten minutes with Josie
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from my children. As a single parent going to school and working full-time, my kids helped with dinner, chores, and my oldest son gave me the push I needed during my senior year when I wanted to quit. He made me a lunch with a note saying 'You got this, Mom.'
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
An older woman named Sharon who trained me as a warehouse buyer told me to go to school and take even one class each year because time passes anyway and you'll have something to show for it. That advice stuck with me and motivated me to get my degree.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Listen to older people because they are wise and have been there. Get your education. Find your niche in business and find your joys. Most importantly, have faith in order to succeed in life.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
God, family, integrity, and love are most important to me.
