Her career has included work in reentry programs, housing services, public sector social work, and program development, consistently focusing on creating sustainable pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Beyond her leadership in public service, Jovita is passionate about empowering others through education, advocacy, and coaching. As a certified John Maxwell Life Coach, she supports women navigating major life transitions, including grief, divorce, retirement, and empty nesting, helping them rediscover purpose and confidence. She is also pursuing graduate studies in Management and Organizational Leadership at Georgia State University to further strengthen her executive leadership capabilities. Whether mentoring future social workers, advocating for innovative library social work programs, or championing community partnerships, Jovita remains committed to advancing compassionate, person-centered solutions that improve lives and strengthen communities.
