Joycelyn E. Greene is a dedicated educator and leader with over two decades of experience in kinesiology, physical education, and wellness. She currently serves as a Professor and chairperson of the Kinesiology Department at Lone Star College in Tomball, Texas, where she also coordinates wellness initiatives for students and faculty. In addition to her full-time role, she has served as an adjunct professor since 2012, mentoring and guiding students across various kinesiology and wellness programs.

Prior to her tenure at Lone Star College, Joycelyn Greene spent more than 20 years with the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, serving as the Female Athletic Coordinator and Physical Education Department Chair and Liaison. In this role, she has championed athletic programs and educational initiatives that support female athletes and promote lifelong wellness. Her extensive experience in both higher education and K–12 settings reflects her deep commitment to fostering physical health, leadership, and personal growth among students.

Joycelyn Greene is a Doctoral candidate of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University and holds a Master of Education (MEd) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Her educational background, combined with her extensive professional experience, positions her as a respected leader in kinesiology, wellness, and educational administration, dedicated to shaping the next generation of educators and athletes, making her a standout above the rest.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to God, an upbringing by my parents that instilled the value of hard work, and over 13 years of experience in leadership and education, including overseeing a team of eight adjunct professors in Knoxville, Tennessee.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life include a love for cultural experiences, such as attending jazz festivals, a passion for travel that broadens my perspective, and a commitment to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle through regular exercise.
