About Jozanne Elizabeth

Jozanne Elizabeth Joseph, ACC, CPA, MBA is an executive coach, CPA, and MBA with a distinguished background spanning global financial services, internal audit leadership, and transformational coaching. Based in the New York City metropolitan area, she operates within the professional coaching and leadership development industry, specializing in supporting high-achieving women and corporate professionals who are outwardly successful yet internally experiencing burnout, misalignment, and chronic over-responsibility. Through her PRISM™ methodology and coaching practice, she helps clients rebuild self-trust, restore clarity, and create sustainable success grounded in alignment rather than exhaustion.

With more than 20 years of experience in senior leadership roles across multinational financial institutions, Jozanne has built a career rooted in governance, risk management, and enterprise audit oversight. She has led complex global teams and held progressive leadership roles in internal audit and risk functions, where she was responsible for evaluating control environments, strengthening operational frameworks, and advising executive stakeholders on enterprise-wide risk and compliance matters. Her corporate background provides her with a deep understanding of high-performance environments and the behavioral patterns they often generate, including perfectionism, over-functioning, and burnout.

Her academic and professional foundation reflects a strong commitment to technical excellence and continuous development. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and an MBA in Accounting, along with CPA certification, and has completed additional studies in auditing and technology, including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) coursework. She is also an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified Associate Certified Coach (ACC). Drawing on this blend of financial expertise, systems thinking, and coaching methodology, she supports clients in shifting from externally driven achievement to internally aligned leadership, helping them establish boundaries, reduce overwhelm, and create a more sustainable and fulfilling definition of success.

Ten minutes with Jozanne Elizabeth

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a lifelong commitment to learning, growth, and the continuous pursuit of knowledge, which has shaped both my professional path and personal evolution. Equally important is my deep self-awareness and willingness to chart my own course rather than simply follow established frameworks, allowing me to evolve in alignment with my values and purpose. I also draw strength from a strong connection to the divine however one chooses to define it, whether as God, the Universe, or Spirit which provides grounding, clarity, and perspective. Ultimately, my greatest growth has come from learning to trust myself more fully and prioritizing inner development over external achievement, which continues to guide how I lead, work, and live.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to trust my intuition alongside, and at times above, pure logic. While logic is valuable and often keeps us anchored in what feels safe and familiar, it can also limit us to predefined paths and conventional outcomes. Intuition, on the other hand, has consistently guided me toward growth, opportunity, and unexpected possibilities that logic alone may not have justified in the moment. Learning to honor that inner knowing ultimately gave me the clarity and courage to step away from a traditional corporate path and build a career that is more aligned with my purpose, values, and authentic way of working and living.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to focus on developing your own voice and coaching style rather than trying to fit into every framework or method you are taught. While education, courses, and certifications provide an important foundation, they should serve as tools rather than rigid rules—take what resonates and leave what does not. Equally important is cultivating a strong connection with yourself and learning to trust your intuition as a reliable source of guidance. In coaching, your role is not to provide all the answers, but to create the space for others to access their own, and when you learn to trust your inner knowing, you also empower others to recognize that the answers they seek are often already within them.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The coaching industry is experiencing strong growth as more individuals seek support in managing stress, burnout, uncertainty, and major life transitions, while also prioritizing personal development, emotional well-being, and a deeper sense of inner alignment. There is an increasing demand for guidance that helps people reduce overwhelm and reconnect with themselves in a more intentional and sustainable way. At the same time, the field faces notable challenges, including the rapid rise of AI and technology-based alternatives to human coaching, as well as inconsistent standards due to varying levels of training, ethics, and certification among practitioners. Additionally, concerns around overpromising results and high-ticket programs that lack meaningful outcomes have highlighted the need for greater accountability and stronger ethical standards to preserve trust and credibility within the profession.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide my work and personal life are centered on connection, authenticity, beauty, and love. I prioritize building meaningful relationships in every area of life, recognizing that genuine connection is the foundation for trust, growth, and transformation. Authenticity is essential to my approach, as I believe individuals thrive when they are supported in expressing their true selves rather than conforming to external expectations. I also hold a deep appreciation for beauty in the world and within people, and I am passionate about helping women recognize and reconnect with their own inner strength and worth. Above all, I strive to lead with love and compassion in all interactions, creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
