Juanita Frye: To me, being an influential woman isn't about having the loudest voice or the biggest title. It's about making a positive difference in the lives of others through service, integrity, and compassion. Throughout my career in education and now as a financial educator, I've been passionate about helping people gain knowledge and confidence so they can make informed decisions for themselves and their families. I believe true influence comes from empowering others, building meaningful relationships, and leading by example. I believe every opportunity to encourage, educate, and uplift someone has the power to create a lasting impact. If I can inspire even one person to believe in themselves, prepare for their future, or overcome an obstacle, then I know I've made a meaningful difference. To me, that's what being an influential woman is all about.
What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?
Juanita Frye: My advice would be to never stop believing in yourself, even when the path doesn't go as planned. Your journey doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Be willing to learn, ask questions, and step outside of your comfort zone. Every experience, whether it's a success or a setback, is preparing you for something greater. Most importantly, don't measure your progress against someone else's timeline. Stay true to your values. Keep growing and trust that consistency, perseverance, and a positive attitude will open doors you're never imagined. Your dreams are worth pursuing, and you are capable of achieving more than you think.

Juanita Frye is an educational leader and Financial Educator with more than 30 years of experience empowering individuals through education. After spending more than three decades in education including over 25 years with Chicago Public Schools and leadership roles in curriculum development, instructional leadership, and Human Resources she transitioned into financial education with the same passion that has guided her entire career: helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions that improve their lives.
Licensed in Nevada, Florida, and Illinois, Juanita helps individuals and families understand how life and health insurance can protect their financial future, preserve wealth, and create a lasting legacy for future generations. She believes that education is the foundation for sound financial decisions and is committed to making complex financial concepts understandable and accessible.
Throughout her distinguished career in education, Juanita served as a teacher, instructional specialist, department chair, curriculum leader, mentor, and Human Resources professional. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from National Louis University and two Master of Arts degrees from Concordia University Chicago in Curriculum & Instruction and School Leadership. Her extensive experience designing educational programs, mentoring educators, and leading instructional initiatives has provided a strong foundation for her work as a trusted Financial Educator.
Driven by a lifelong passion for teaching and serving others, Juanita approaches every family with patience, compassion, integrity, and a genuine desire to help them prepare for the future. 01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a lifelong commitment to serving others through education. For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of teaching, coaching, and mentoring individuals, helping them build confidence and make informed decisions. Those experiences taught me the importance of listening, leading with compassion, and meeting people where they are. Today, as a Financial Educator, that same passion continues to guide me. I believe that when people are equipped with the right knowledge, they are empowered to make decisions that can positively impact their families for generations. My success has never been measured solely by accomplishments, but by the lives I have been able to encourage, educate, and serve. I am grateful for every opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone else's life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received was to never stop learning and to always focus on serving others rather than simply chasing success. Titles and careers may change, but when you lead with integrity, continue to grow, and genuinely care about helping people, success naturally follows. That advice has guided me throughout my career in education and continues to inspire me as a Financial Educator. Every opportunity to teach, encourage, and empower someone to make informed decisions is an opportunity to make a lasting impact. When you stay true to your purpose and remain committed to serving others, your work becomes more than a career it becomes a calling.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I encourage young women entering the financial services industry to seek out mentors who genuinely care about your growth and are willing to invest in your success. I have been incredibly blessed to learn from outstanding mentors, including Sharon Zafani, Adrian Montanez, and Rachel Santiago. Their guidance, encouragement, and willingness to share their knowledge have played an important role in my professional journey. Don't be afraid to ask questions, learn from those with more experience, and remain open to continuous growth. A great mentor can provide encouragement, valuable perspective, and the confidence to overcome challenges. Most importantly, stay true to your values, lead with integrity, and always focus on serving others. When you do that, success becomes a natural result of the difference you make in people's lives.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the financial services industry is helping people understand that life insurance is about much more than a death benefit. It can be an important part of protecting loved ones, creating long-term financial security, and leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. At the same time, that challenge presents one of our greatest opportunities. Through education, we can help individuals and families better understand their options and make informed decisions that align with their goals and values. When people have the knowledge they need, they are better equipped to protect the people they love and build a stronger financial future.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide both my professional and personal life are compassion, integrity, service, and family. Throughout my career, whether as an educator or now as a Financial Educator, my passion has always been helping others. I am committed to educating families about the insurance process so they can make informed decisions with confidence and peace of mind. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing I have helped a family protect what matters most and prepare for the future. My own family is my greatest source of inspiration and reminds me every day to lead with kindness, serve with integrity, and always put people first.
