About Juanita
Juanita Johnson has over 30 years of experience in the legal field. She began her career as a legal assistant and advanced to paralegal after completing her schooling at Pierce College, where she earned an associate's degree in 1989. Throughout her career, she has worked in in-house corporate counsel departments at GMAC Mortgage and GMAC Commercial, at the United States Court of Appeals, at Wolf Block as a paralegal, and at several REITs as an in-house legal assistant. For the past 13 years, she has served as Office Manager and Senior Legal Assistant of the Tort Litigation Group at the City of Philadelphia Law Department. In this role, she manages personnel and HR issues, handles fiscal reporting for settlements on the city's website, and has implemented policies and procedures to support her team, including liaison positions and promotion from within. She is a member of the Paralegal Association and serves as Chair of the Public Service Committee for the City of Philadelphia Law Department, where she leads community outreach programs such as the back-to-school drive and Stockings for Soldiers. Additionally, she volunteers with Carrie's Cares to feed the homeless in Center City. She also operates her own charcuterie board business, Chartouerie Chicks of Philly, with her daughter, and works as a game day staff supervisor for the Philadelphia Eagles, a role she has held for three years.
