Her Interview
Ten minutes with Judith
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think it's always gonna have to be the love of my parents. They poured into me before I can even understand why they were going so hard. My dad passed away when I was young, and the love and memories of him is just so evident. My mom had a recorder, the camcorder back in the day, and she has every type of memory that me and my brother can cherish of our dad.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
No one's gonna have the same light as you, and people will see that in whatever work that you do. So, it's just basically being yourself, and just doing the best you can, and whatever availability or resources you can get from somebody else, don't be afraid to utilize it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
No matter how challenging it is, everything you do in life is gonna be challenging, so do it with your best foot forward anyway. You are your own brand as soon as you come and enter this world.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field right now is that everyone has these transferable skills and marketable skills. It's so oversaturated right now that they're having a hard time just trying to delegate tasks or pick people for the job. It's just always just constant competition.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Keeping my word and community around. I value community a lot in networking. My selflessness. It's something that I feel like I'mma always do, no matter how hard things are, I'ma always think about other people before myself. I like to include as many people as I can, especially if they look like they're not having a good time.
