Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to living out my calling of service. For me, this work has never been just a career—it’s a vocation shaped by gratitude for the support I once received during my own college years. That experience inspired me to dedicate my life to social welfare. Since 2008, I have served as a pastoral counselor and have been part of the Roman Catholic women priest movement, ensuring that my efforts remain non-profit and focused on helping others find healing and hope.

Compassion guides every part of my life. I share my home with a close friend who is facing housing insecurity and cancer, as well as a lively family of three birds, three dogs, and ten cats who bring warmth and joy to our days. Writing and poetry allow me to express my faith and reflections, while gardening offers me a peaceful space to connect with creation.

Ultimately, my success stems from my unwavering faith and commitment to service. My greatest joy is seeing others grow in their understanding of themselves, the world, and God’s love.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The greatest challenge in my field is balancing faith traditions with the growing call for inclusivity and equality. At the same time, this shift creates powerful opportunities for compassion and renewal in spiritual care. My advice to other women is simple: take time for yourself and stay connected to those who uplift you. As for the future, I remain open and ready to walk through whatever door God opens next.
