Her Interview
Ten minutes with Judy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to doing what you would expect someone else to do, being a good listener, and using AI to record conversations to better understand client needs and improve efficiency. I focus on listening and capturing details to align better with what clients need.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never stop learning and pushing yourself to learn more. One key piece of advice came from a woman who shared a podcast on imposter syndrome, emphasizing not downplaying time away from the business and focusing on working extra hard with high standards.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Work hard, become an expert in your field by asking lots of questions, educate yourself by sitting down with vendors, and ensure the company's values align with your own, like Gallagher's 25 tenets.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include balancing work as a mom and employee at a high level, staying apprised of changes, managing workloads, and making time for spiritual focus. An opportunity is learning to accept 'good enough to move on' rather than perfection on every task.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Treating others the way I would want to be treated is number one. My faith is very important. Being kind, having empathy, understanding where others are coming from, giving grace, continuous learning, sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and building people up.
