01What do you attribute your success to?
I have a really strong work ethic from playing volleyball my whole life. I'm very competitive and not afraid to speak out. I had amazing women mentors who showed me how to do that well. I try to have fun at work and lead with kindness.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Stop waiting for permission to do what you want to do. If you want to write, start writing. You don't need to get hired to start doing the work. If you build it, people will come eventually.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always negotiate your pay. Never be afraid to bring up ideas in brainstorms, even if they seem silly. Be loud, say what you feel, and be creative unabashedly. Be a creativity nerd.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
AI is a little spooky for the creative industry, but we're learning to use it as a tool. Creativity is often undervalued and brushed off as silliness, but it's really important and what advertising is built on.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Creativity is really important - it's like a muscle, if you don't use it, you lose it. Respect is really important too - everyone deserves to be respected at work. Being able to work collaboratively with one another.
