Julia Parisi

Julia Franzen is a passionate and versatile Audio Visual Technician currently working with Haybear Entertainment and AVX Audio Visual. With over three years of hands-on experience in event production, Julia has become known for her dedication to seamless AV integration, professional event execution, and an unwavering commitment to client satisfaction. Her role at Haybear Entertainment has evolved beyond that of an executive assistant to encompass key responsibilities in B2B communication, warehouse management, and on-the-ground event coordination. She also serves as an independent contractor for AVX, trusted to lead events from start to finish with precision and reliability.
In addition to her technical work, Julia is pursuing an Associate's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at Diablo Valley College, where she is excelling academically. Her interests extend into yoga instruction, creative writing, and entrepreneurship—she is currently working toward business certification with the goal of opening her own yoga studio. Julia recently self-published a book of poems and essays, further reflecting her creative spirit. Inspired by friends who have launched their own ventures, Julia is channeling her varied passions into a multifaceted career that blends wellness, creativity, and technical expertise.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the AV and event production industry is to talk less and do more—let your work speak for itself, stay confident in your skills, and always be willing to put in the effort to grow and succeed.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the AV and event production field is that it remains male-dominated, but this also presents a powerful opportunity for women to break barriers, bring fresh perspectives, and pave the way for greater diversity and inclusion.
