Julia Hartz

Julia Hartz is the co-founder, CEO, and Executive Chair of Eventbrite, a global platform that enables millions of event creators to bring their passions to life. With a deep passion for experiences, Julia has spent over two decades building a company rooted in connection, empowering creators to host events around the world while cultivating a culture that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and community. She began Eventbrite alongside Kevin Hartz and Renaud Visage in 2006, combining product vision, technical expertise, and her own drive to create the most vibrant, user-friendly experience platform available.

Throughout her career, Julia has expanded her influence beyond Eventbrite, serving on the boards of Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts and the UCSF Foundation Investment Company, as well as being recognized as a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. Under her leadership, Eventbrite has grown into a global engine for creativity, supporting over a million event creators, hosting millions of live experiences, and generating transformative connections worldwide. Her focus on fostering inclusion, creativity, and meaningful engagement has earned her recognition on multiple “40 Under 40” and “Female Founders” lists.

Outside of work, Julia balances her professional accomplishments with family life as a mother of four, sharing her love for hands-on experiences, creativity, and the occasional Lego masterpiece. Her vision continues to emphasize the power of in-person connection, highlighted by initiatives like Britehouse, which brings stories to life through immersive, interactive experiences.
