Her Interview

Ten minutes with Julia

01What do you attribute your success to?

Definitely God. I'm a Christian, and He's never failed me. Always shows me that he's there in his own little ways. Having always having a Christian-backed team really... That... that... would have your back and pray for you. That's so important to me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I've ever received would be from Katie D'Onofrio at Cadence Care. She told me not to carry all the burdens on my clients. And that sometimes you have to just let things go.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

It's important to keep in mind those affirmations. It's important to keep in mind that Your job, and who you are. Don't let other people tell you who you are.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

There's a greater need for the social workers that then go further and go into counseling. It gives them a different perspective than going the psychology route.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I really value time. If you can take even just an extra 2 or 3 minutes to listen to somebody. It's not gonna short you that much in time, and that 2 or 3 minutes can really make a difference for a person. Being able to take your time. And talk to and listen to people.
