About Julia
Julia Koch is a dedicated immigration paralegal and legal professional with experience in immigration law, case management, and client services since 2018. She currently serves as an immigration paralegal at a large immigration law firm with offices in New York and other states in the U.S., where she supports clients through the immigration process and handles case deadlines and client expectations. She began her journey in the reception of a law firm in Orlando, Florida, working initially in civil law before focusing on immigration. She holds a high school diploma from Germany, an associate's degree from Valencia College, and a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Central Florida. Her career reflects a deep personal connection to immigration, inspired by her parents' experiences as immigrants, and a commitment to client advocacy, loyalty, transparency, and high-quality legal support. She attributes her success to her studies and strong networking, and she values continuous learning and building community with other women in the field.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My studies and good networking. I studied law for my bachelor's and being connected to people from all over the world, building a good network.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Dealing with someone's case as if it was my own so I can make sure I give the best I can to that client.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Never stop learning something new so you can be different from other people because law is constantly changing. Also being connected to other women to build a strong community of strong women and work together using each other's strengths.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Opportunity: speaking more than one language fluently helps with immigration clients from around the world. Challenge: time management because of the effort and time needed for case work.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty and transparency. I am very loyal to the people I work with but very transparent, being very honest, loyal and transparent so people can trust me.
