Julia Lebling

As Development Director for the Alzheimer's Association, I specifically oversee the Walk to End Alzheimer's, which is a community-facing event in the Greater Richmond area. What I really enjoy about my job is that I get to work with a lot of different people in the community, both in the corporate and public space. Not only do I get to meet with a lot of corporate individuals, but I also get to meet with community-facing partners, which allows me to work with a variety of people in my day-to-day. I usually stay local to Richmond to meet with different constituents, though I do have the opportunity to travel for leadership opportunities. I'm actually heading to our headquarters in Chicago for a leadership summit in August because we are one of the top performing markets across the nation - we were the number 10 walk in the state. Before this position, I was at other organizations like the American Heart Association and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, giving me almost a decade of experience in the nonprofit industry.
