Her Interview
Ten minutes with Julia
01What do you attribute your success to?
It's hard to answer because I don't know how successful I consider myself to be. I would say a difficult upbringing and telling myself that I'll never depend on anybody, any man. I'll always make sure I make enough money and I'll always make sure that I'm doing something meaningful.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You gotta love it. It has to be something that's for you. Test it out first before you do it because a lot of people say I don't know how you do this, I could never. Just to make sure that it's for you.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I don't really find the field challenging. I've been doing it for more than half of my life, it's kind of second nature. Sometimes as much as I try there's just nothing I could do and there are going to be outcomes that are unfavorable.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Loyalty, honesty, genuineness, authenticity.
