About Juliana
Juliana Hastings retired after a 35-year career in institutional investment management. She began in commercial lending at Union Bank and Wells Fargo before moving to the asset management side, which became Barclays Global Investors. At BGI and later JP Morgan Asset Management, she focused on sales, client service, and portfolio management support, eventually leading sales and service teams while building credibility with sophisticated institutional clients managing tens to hundreds of billions in assets. She earned an economics degree from UCLA and obtained Series 7, 6, 63, 3, and 24 licenses. At BGI she co-founded a women's networking group to increase visibility for capable female colleagues. Following her retirement, Hastings authored the book I'll Have a Double, detailing lifestyle changes after her breast cancer diagnosis, and she supports related causes through Sutter Health's cancer support community and UCSD head and neck cancer research.
