About Juliana
Juliana Watson is currently a student at New York University, where she is studying economics after transferring from the University of San Francisco. She began her college studies in August 2025 and is now in her second semester at NYU. Watson is actively involved in the private equity group at her school. Her interest in economics stems from her junior year of high school when she participated in a competitive exchange program in Turkey sponsored by the State Department, for which she received a certificate of completion. Prior to and alongside her studies, she has gained experience through roles in retail, customer service, hospitality, as an intern in real estate, as a personal assistant to the CEO of a med spa, and as a financial and budget analyst at a construction LLC. Watson sees herself pursuing opportunities in wealth management or investment banking, with additional interest in real estate. She attributes her success to having faith and ambition throughout her varied experiences and advises young women to stay focused on their goals, remain open to opportunities, and avoid comparing themselves to others.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Juliana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'd say having faith and ambition because I had so many different experiences that didn't really line up very much. Having faith that it will work out how it should be is really what kept me going through all of it. Having ambition and being able to reach for the next step in the next level is honestly so important as well.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay focused on your goals and be open to any opportunities that come your way. Sometimes especially living in New York City it can get overwhelming with how many different things other people are doing. Just taking the little opportunities can always lead to bigger ones and just having faith in yourself and confidence in your work ethic and your abilities. Make sure you don't compare yourself to other people because if you compare yourself then that's honestly just a dead weight.
